AFGlobal to Provide Lifecycle Riser Services for IFP Energies Nouvelles
Company Partners with Clip-Riser Developer, IFP Energies Nouvelles to ProvideRiser Inspection, Repair and Maintenance
HOUSTON, TX, November 27, 2017 — AFGlobal today announced that it has entered into an agreement with IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), the developer of the Clip-RiserTM technology, to provide inspection, maintenance and repair of IFPEN drilling risers. The Clip-Riser is a quick and boltless connector technology that has become a resounding technical and commercial success. This technology provides an easy, safe and effective method for connecting riser joints with minimal maintenance.
AFGlobal will partner with IFPEN to provide inspection, maintenance and repair of drilling risers in Brazil, according to IFPEN’s specifications. AFGlobal has also signed a licensing agreement with IFPEN for the worldwide provision of spare parts conforming to the technology’s original specifications. These agreementswill benefit Clip-Riser customers by offering a safe and cost-effective alternative for the inspection, maintenance and repair of their risers.
